<p>An electrical lockout mechanism (1) is connected between a power source, and a power input terminal of an electrical machine including a manually operated switch. A switching element of said electrical lockout mechanism (1) receive s a control signal and is adapted to selectively complete and break an electrical connection between the power source and the machine in reponse to said control signal and under a first and second set operating conditions in a manner that prevents unwanted machine restarts. The electrical lockout mechanism (1) can be integrated with a power cord that delivers electrical power to the machine or can be integrated into the machine itself.</p> |
