The circuit processes a colour signal reproduced from a video recorder. The colour signal modulates a carrier with a first carrier frequency. The colour signal modulated to the first carrier frequency is fed to a first mixer (1). This converts the colour signal to a second carrier frequency which is higher than the first. The output signal of the first mixer (1) is fed to a comb filter arrangement (2,3,4). This suppresses cross-talk colour signals from adjacent tracks. The output signal of the comb filter arrangement is fed to a second mixer (5). This converts the filtered signal to a third carrier frequency which is higher than the second carrier frequency. The third carrier frequency pref. corresponds to the colour carrier frequency.
