PURPOSE: A digital TV receiver and a symbol clock recovering device are provided to detect timing error information, and to perform a symbol clock recovering process for generating a frequency of a double symbol clock from the detected timing error information, thereby effectively attenuating a frequency signal around information used in a symbol clock recovering portion. CONSTITUTION: An A/D converter(104) samples a VSB analog band pass signal at a fixed frequency, and converts the analog band pass signal into a digital band pass signal. A carrier recoverer(106) multiplies a reference carrier signal by the VSB digital band pass signal, and converts into a VSB digital baseband signal. A resampler(201) resamples real-number/imaginary-number component signals of the VSB digital baseband signal at a frequency of a double symbol clock, and interpolates the signals, respectively. A symbol clock recovering portion(400) converts the real-number/imaginary-number component signals into OQAM signals to square the signals, detects timing error information to generate a frequency of a double symbol clock from the detected timing error information, and outputs the information to the resampler(201). |
