<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimally improve energy efficiency according to the operation condition of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: An ECT_ECU400 controls a vehicle, by switching between a regenerative power generation preferred mode and a fuel-cut priority mode, when the vehicle travels in a driven state. The ECT_ECU400 comprises a detection circuit that detects the operating state of the vehicle, a circuit for selecting the mode with advantage in energy efficiency, based on the energy efficiency of two modes corresponding to the detected vehicle conditions, and a circuit for changing the down shift gear-change line of an automatic transmission 300 so that the energy efficiency in a selected mode is further improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
