<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition coil to which a crack by thermal stress is hard to occur. <P>SOLUTION: The ignition coil comprises a secondary high voltage coil part 23 to which a secondary winding 230 is wound, a low voltage primary coil arranged on an external periphery side or an internal periphery side of the secondary coil 23 with the primary coil wound, and a resin insulating material 41 permeated in at least one coil part 23 out of the secondary coil part 23 and the primary coil part, and having a parent material consisting of a thermosetting resin, a filler blended in the parent material, and a resin insulating material 41. The ignition coil is contained in a plughole.
