PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a non-metallic bellows from being damaged even if it is exposed to falling objects. SOLUTION: In a non-metallic expansion joint to be connected to a duct 91 through which waste heat gas is allowed to flow through a non-metallic bellows 2 so as to absorb thermal expansion and contraction, a protective cover 7 is provided outside of the non-metallic bellows 2 so as to receive a falling object or foreign matters which might possibly bit the bellows and for protecting the non-metallic bellows 2.
