PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely change over a switch, in a disk device provided with a detection means for making the switch operate based on the turning operation of a detecting operation member to be pushed by the circumferential edge of a disk. SOLUTION: Detecting arms 12a 12b are coupled to a pair of coupling members 15a, 15b. One coupling member 15a is fixed to a coupling shaft part 16, and another coupling member 15b is formed with a slot 17 to slide with the coupling shaft 16. Moreover, a cover member 30 is formed with a guide hole 31 to guide the coupling shaft part 16, and the guide hole 31 is formed with a limiting recessed part 32 to be engaged with the coupling shaft part 16. When ejecting a disk, the coupling shaft part 16 is engaged with the limiting recessed part 32, so as to disable one detecting arm 12a to operate but enable only another detecting arm 12b to operate, and this detecting arm 12b can make the detecting mechanism operate exactly.
