<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microlens substrate obtained by a microlens substrate manufacturing method that the precision of sticking on a driving substrate is high and sticking operation is easy, and to provide a liquid crystal display element using the microlens substrate. <P>SOLUTION: The microlens substrate 9 is structured by sticking a first transparent substrate 1 and a second transparent substrate 8 together and has microlenses formed charging materials 7 differing in refractive index in concave parts 6 formed on the side of a sticking surface of the first transparent substrate 1 and superposition markers 4 or exposure position adjustment markers on a first transparent substrate surface.
