PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for guiding replacement of an ink mist absorber which can display a replacement timing of the ink mist absorber in a manner to make the replacement timing easy to understand. SOLUTION: At a place located near an inkjet printing head in an inkjet printer, the detachable ink mist absorber, and a display body having characters and figures formed by a material which does not absorb ink at a surface of the ink mist absorber are set, thereby constituting the mechanism for guiding replacement of the ink mist absorber. The ink mist absorber replacement guiding mechanism has a detector for detecting a concentration difference of the display body and the ink mist absorber, and a means for displaying to a printer body when there is a fixed concentration difference. The ink mist absorber replacement guiding mechanism has the detector for detecting the concentration difference of the display body and the ink mist absorber, and transmits a signal to a personal computer or the like connected to the printer when there is a fixed concentration difference.
