SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COLLECTING ROAD INFORMATION USING TELEMATICS NAVIGATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A system and a method for collecting road information using a telematics navigation system are provided to collect real time road information and to analyze accurate position information per road information item, by receiving road information from a user comprising a wireless terminal in real time. CONSTITUTION: The system(400) for collecting road information is connected to an information center providing wireless network and road information, and collects real time road information from the wireless terminal of a user and then analyzes it. The system includes a control part(460), a user management unit(410) storing personal information of the user in a database(470) and then managing it. A road information management unit(420) receives road information from the wireless terminal and then stores it in the database and manages it. A road information position analysis unit(430) analyzes road information received in the road information management unit. A road information accumulation analysis unit(440) analyzes the information of same kind among the road information stored in the database and then grasps the accumulation ratio and then stores it in the database. And a road information informing unit(450) transmits the road information analyzed in the road information position analysis unit and the road information accumulation analysis unit to the information center.
