PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently secure an adjusting allowance of a back lash amount, and to suppress noise between a male joint 11 and a female joint 12. SOLUTION: This power steering device comprises a driving gear 2 having a shaft joined to the output shaft of a motor for assisting steering via the male joint 11 and the female joint 12, a driven gear 3 meshing with the driving gear 2 and connected to a steering means, and a pushing body for pushing the driving gear 2 to the driven gear 3. At least one of the male joint 11 and the female joint 12 is provided with an annular elastic body for suppressing the abutting of the peripheral surface of the male joint 11 on the female joint 12. Even when a clearance is formed between the male joint 11 and the female joint 12 to sufficiently secure the adjusting allowance of the back lash amount of the meshing section between the driving gear and the driven gear, noise between the male joint 11 and the female joint 12 is suppressed.
