PURPOSE: A method for announcing battery available time according to operation modes in a PDA(Personal Digital Assistant) is provided to report battery available time to a user for each operation mode in a PDA having a plurality of operation modes and executing an associated function according to the user's selection. CONSTITUTION: If the power of a PDA is turned on(202), a control part detects an idle mode as the initial mode of the PDA(204). The control part detects the amperage of the battery through a voltage feedback terminal(206). Then the control part extracts battery available time at the present mode for the detected amperage from a battery available time table stored in a memory(208). The control part compares the extracted battery available time with a preset reference time(Tref)(210). If the extracted battery available time is shorter than the preset reference time(Tref), the control part outputs a battery charging recommendation message(214). However, in case that the extracted battery available time is longer than the preset reference time(Tref), the control part controls a display part or a voice processing part to output the battery available time(212). |
