<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag device which is comparatively easy in assembling and has sufficient mounting strength. <P>SOLUTION: A base plate 20 is arranged on a backside of an air bag cover 30. Contacting projections 35, 37 at tip parts of a lateral first protruding part 34 and a lower first protruding part 36 of the air bag cover 30 are contacted to contacted parts 25, 27 of the base plate 20 from a rear face side. An auxiliary plate 50 is arranged on the rear face side of the base plate 20, a contact energizing part 54b of a movement suppressing part 54 provided to the auxiliary plate 50 is contacted to the tip pats of the lateral first protruding part 34 and the lower first protruding part 36, and a contacting state of the contacting projections 35, 37 with the contacted parts 25, 27 is retained. Especially at the completion of expansion of the air bag, the contact energizing part 54b is pressed hard to the tip parts of the lateral first protruding part 34 and the lower first protruding part 36 using lateral expansive developing force. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
