PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the density of high polymer such as polyethylene with high accuracy in a short time. SOLUTION: The measuring system uses a pulsed nuclear magnetic resonance apparatus, and determines an analytical curve indicating a relationship between the density and a normalization relative amount by executing a first step for detecting a solid echo signal on a sample by a solid echo method, a second step for analyzing the solid echo signal detected in the first step, and determining a spin-spin transverse relaxation time of a crystalline component of the sample, and the relative amount of the solid echo signal of the crystalline component, and a third step for determining the normalization relative amount by dividing the relative amount of the solid echo signal of the crystalline component determined in the second step, by the spin-spin transverse relaxation time, with respect to a plurality of standard samples of known density. Then the density of the unknown sample is determined on the basis of the normalization relative amount of the unknown sample and the analytical curve by performing the first step, the second step and the third step to the unknown sample of which the density is unknown.
