PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly perform an adaptive operation by restraining an irregularity of antenna irradiation patterns which is caused by intercoupling of respective antennas, in an antenna apparatus wherein desired antenna characteristic is obtained by operation of a plurality of antennas. SOLUTION: This antenna apparatus is provided with a circuit group 4 (a weight arithmetic circuit, an AD/DA converter, an up converter/a down converter, an RF circuit part), and a correction operation part 2. In the part 2, inverse matrix Zt<SP>-1</SP>of mutual impedance matrix Zt is calculated when mutual impedance matrix between the respective antennas containing all to an antenna element 1 is set as Zt and a desired input signal matrix is set as S, and a signal matrix S' (=Z<SP>-1</SP>×S) wherein the desired input signal matrix S is multiplied by Zt<SP>-1</SP>is made an input signal of each of the antennas.
