<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle information recorder and a system thereof for acquiring versatile information useful for elucidating a cause of an accident. <P>SOLUTION: A counter vehicle B has a camera, a GPS device or the like to detect the position of the subject vehicle. A forward image during the traveling is picked up by the camera, a traveling locus of the subject vehicle is acquired based on the result of detection by the GPS device, and the picked-up image and the traveling locus are transmitted toward a target vehicle A traveling on a road included in a communicable range as traveling condition information. The target vehicle A receives the transmitted traveling condition information, and records it in a hard disk device together with similar information acquired by the subject car.
