AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM, KEY REGISTERING DEVICE AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication system and a key registering device which set an apparatus in a user's house simply and easily since a content is limited to an individual use in the user's house.

SOLUTION: The authentication system conducts an authentication between a first apparatus and a second apparatus. The second apparatus stores a second key's information generated based on a prescribed key generation algorithm from a peculiar identifier to the second apparatus. The key registering device receives an input of the identifier, generates a first key's data based on the key generation algorithm, and transmits to the first apparatus. The first apparatus receives and stores the first key's data. The first apparatus is authenticated by using the first key's data when it communicates with the second apparatus. The second apparatus is authenticated by using the second key's data. The constitution prevents the key's data from communicating with other apparatus than registered one. The system and the device are applied to an apparatus which does not have a connecting means to an outside place.
