摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide device for shaping the cross section of an emitted light into a rectangular shape without decreasing the luminous quantity of the light emitted from a light guide fiber, and uniformizing the illuminance over the entire cross section of the emitted light. SOLUTION: A sleeve member 13 and an emission part sheath 14 cover a tip of an optical fiber bundle 16 at a side of a light emission end face. A glass rod support member 42 for supporting a glass rod 40 is fitted to the emission part sheath 14. The glass rod 40 is fixed to the glass rod support member 42 by a positioning pin 44 and its optical incident end face 40i faces a light emission end face 16o of the optical fiber bundle 16. A light emission end face 40o of the glass rod 40 is formed into a rectangle. The light emitted from the light emission end face 40o is uniformized over the entire cross section and shaped into a rectangle during a process of its propagation being totally reflected by a border face of the glass rod 40.
