PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-performance magnification apparatus with which a user can look at a magnified object with a real feeling as if the user looked at the object through a lens by providing a CCD camera on a point where diagonals cross on just a back portion of a rectangular liquid crystal display screen or on a center portion of just a back portion of a round liquid crystal display screen so that an image of an object of a camera coincides with an image of the liquid crystal display screen. SOLUTION: In this apparatus, a liquid crystal screen 2a of a sheet-like crystal display 2 is provided so as to be fixed, erectable or movable on a receiving member 1, the CCD camera 3 is provided on the rear surface of the display 2, so that the object X picked up by the camera 3 can be displayed on the liquid crystal screen of the sheet-like liquid crystal display.
