PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fuel assemblies and a reactor core which can minimize loss of reactivity as a countermeasure of control rod histeresis effect even for lowering of fissionable material quantity in the control rod insertion side of the fuel assemblies. SOLUTION: First fuel assemblies and second fuel assemblies are provided. In fuel rods in the second fuel assemblies, the fissionable material quantity in fuel rods positioning at the center side corner of a control rod adjacent to the fuel assemblies is less than the fissionable material quantity in fuel rods positioning at the corner and the other fuel rods. In addition, the fissionable material quantity in fuel rods positioning at the corner and the other fuel rods is less than the fissionable material quantity in fuel rods at the position corresponding to the first fuel assemblies.
