The present invention relates to a method for creating physical models of rock beds that are used in calibrating devices for neutron logging and gamma-ray logging in oil and gas wells. The proposed method for creating the physical model of a rock bedimplies filling a vessel with free-flowing material, such as marble chip, with defined dimensions of the material particles, simulating a well in the vessel filled with the material, and filling the material pores with liquid. To the free-flowing material, cement is added in an amount that is sufficient for binding the material particles and water in an amount that is sufficient for forming the dense mix. The mix of the material, cement, and water is agitated and loaded into the vessel with a pipe which diameter is equal to that of the simulated well. When the mix of the material, water, and cement solidifies, the pipe will be removed, and the pores of the material will be saturated by liquid.
