COLOR FILTER SUBSTRATE, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING COLOR FILTER SUBSTRATE, AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a liquid crystal fully infiltrate upto the end parts of a liquid crystal cell within a short period of time.

SOLUTION: A color filter substrate which has been left for 24 hours in the atmosphere at the temperature of 23°C and the relative humidity of 50% is pre-treated for 30 minutes in the atmosphere of 23°C and 1×10-5Pa at 23°C in a vacuum heating vessel directly coupled to a mass spectrometer, and thereafter the temperature is raised up to 80°C at an increasing rate of 5°C/minute. Then, a total quantity of gases (an integrated quantity from the start of raising the temperature until the end of maintaining 80°C) generated when heating the substrate on condition of maintaining this temperature for 44 minutes or longer is made to 1×10-6g per 1cm2of the color filter substrate.
