PURPOSE: To provide a driving method of a liquid crystal display wherein difference between appliable voltage values depending on pixel voltage values before data voltage is applied is reduced, and a prescribed light transmittance is obtained, by writing data voltage for display always from a fixed state to the all pixels(the full screen), and to provide the liquid crystal display. CONSTITUTION: In an "on" period of a TFT, reset voltage for refreshment is applied to the pixel electrodes in a first half "on" period and data voltage for display is applied to the pixel electrodes in a latter half "on" period. That is, when a write polarity controlling signal PN is "L", odd-numbered output terminals and even-numbered output terminals apply a reset voltage to be a negative polarity zero gradation voltage to the pixel electrodes in the first half "on" period and a positive polarity data voltage to the pixel electrodes in the latter half "on" period. When the write polarity controlling signal PN is "H", the odd-numbered output terminals and the even-numbered output terminals apply a reset voltage to be a positive polarity zero gradation voltage to the pixel electrodes in the first half "on" period and a negative polarity data voltage to the pixel electrodes in the latter half"on" period.
