The safe (1) is installed in a wall or behind a wall of a building and has a thick wall and a securely locking door. There is a tilting (8) container for the valuable objects (2) at the top of the safe. The container has several compartments (10-16) any of which may be dropped down to release the contents. The object may be dropped down through a secure region (5) into a hopper (46) which guides it into a slit in the bottom of the safe. The object drops through the slit into a drawer (4) which may be pulled out of the wall.
