PURPOSE: A method for forming images such as photograph on seat plate of wooden chair fabricated in pack shape is provided to improve visual effect and exhibit various designs on the seat plate by displaying various images on the seat plate of the wooden chair using adhesive force and hardening characteristics of phenol resin. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of directly drawing images such as picture, photograph and letter desired to be displayed on sliced veneer that is a material for molding the seat plate of the chair using dyes or ink, printing the images using printer, or transferring a paper containing images such as photograph outputted from the printer onto the sliced veneer using thermal transfer machine; impregnating the sliced veneer containing images along with other sliced veneer with phenol resin contained in a resin impregnating vat; drying the phenol resin impregnated sliced veneer; putting the laid up sliced veneer sheets into a heating press mold having temperature of about 140 deg.C after laying up the sliced veneer containing images on an upper part of 10 sheets or more of sliced veneer piled up on which the images are not contained; and press molding the laid up sliced veneer sheets in the press mold for about 10 min or more.
