<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a peroxy radical intermediate such as CF<SB>3</SB>OO radical generated by decomposition of substitute flon, for example, HCFC134a (CF<SB>3</SB>CH<SB>2</SB>F) in the atmosphere, which cannot be detected by a conventional experimental method by atmospheric chamber because it is extremely unstable although it is important to examine the atmospheric reaction of this radical. <P>SOLUTION: A sample substrate 2 is fixed into a high-vacuum analytic chamber 3 to be coolable by a cooling device 5, Ar gas as a matrix gas, oxygen gas and a substrate gas are supplied from a first nozzle 10, a second nozzle 11 and a third nozzle, respectively, to be concentrated on the position adjacent to the sample substrate 2, and irradiated with a laser 7 at the concentrated part to be reacted. The radical species of the substrate gas are captured by the sample substrate 2 with Ar gas as the matrix, and this is measured by a reflection type infrared absorption spectrometer, whereby the analysis of radical species can be performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
