摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems in a controller of a paper feeding device that a time (distance) from the arrival at a lateral transport sensor to the stop of the sheet delicately varies because of the difference in paper quality, separating pressure, application of brake and the like when the fed sheet arrives at the lateral transport sensor and stopped, which causes the variation of the time from the start of the lateral transporting operation to the arrival at a longitudinal transporting roller, and impairs the alignment at a sheet bundling position. SOLUTION: In this controller of the paper feeding device, a paper feeding roller and a lateral feeding roller are driven by motors which are independently controlled, the excess amount (distance) from the arrival of the sheet at the lateral transport sensor to the actual stop of the sheet is determined on the basis of a position/speed pulse synthesized by a signal of a magnetic pole position detector of a brushless DC motor, a correction time of a lateral transport start timing determined by inverse calculation on the basis of a rotating speed of the lateral transporting roller is added to or subtracted from the standard start timing to determine the optimum lateral transport start timing.
