The sanitary fitting is intended for two different qualities of water and, for this purpose, has outlet connecting branches (<HIL><PDAT>20, 21</BOLD><PDAT>) which are separate from one another and into which two channel systems (<HIL><PDAT>50, 56</BOLD><PDAT>), which are routed separately from one another through a common fitting housing (<HIL><PDAT>1</BOLD><PDAT>), open out. Each channel system (<HIL><PDAT>50, 56</BOLD><PDAT>) is provided with a valve arrangement (<HIL><PDAT>53, 17</BOLD><PDAT>), each valve arrangement being functionally separate from the other and of which the top valve arrangement (<HIL><PDAT>17</BOLD><PDAT>), assigned to the channel system (<HIL><PDAT>56</BOLD><PDAT>), has a closure body (<HIL><PDAT>41</BOLD><PDAT>) which executes a lifting movement and of which the actuating element (<HIL><PDAT>44</BOLD><PDAT>) forms the top termination of the sanitary fitting. In order for it to be possible for the actuating element to be easily operated even with a comparatively high pressure in the channel system (<HIL><PDAT>56</BOLD><PDAT>) which is to be closed, as is the case, for example, in drinking water enriched with carbon dioxide, a pressure-equalizing channel (<HIL><PDAT>82</BOLD><PDAT>), which is routed through the valve closure body (<HIL><PDAT>41</BOLD><PDAT>), connects the channel system (<HIL><PDAT>56</BOLD><PDAT>) to a pressure-equalizing space (<HIL><PDAT>80</BOLD><PDAT>), which is provided on the rear end surface (<HIL><PDAT>81</BOLD><PDAT>) of the valve closure body (<HIL><PDAT>41</BOLD><PDAT>).</PTEXT>
