The invention relates to an air pocket style lifesaving apparatus for high building during fires, characterized in that a bracket (1) was placed and attached to the windowsill of the high building. A cylinder air packet (3) was connected with the bracket and felled down to the ground with its upper end opened and lower end closed. A circular lifesaving platform (2) was secured about 1 m down from the windowsill by means of a gripping holder (17) and a sliding rope (11) on the bracket (1) so that evacuating people can go from the windowsill down to the platform (2) in turn with the help of an armrest (7) on the bracket (1) and a soft ladder (9). After that, the gripping holder (17) was released and the evacuating people can fall down to the ground first in an accelerated, then in a uniform and at last in a decelerated speed. When the people went out of the door (20) and closed it, the second group of people can start to evacuate. In this way, it is possible for many groups of people to evacuate from the fired area safely and quickly by use of one air pocket style lifesaving apparatus.
