<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and properly perform the processing to utilize a structured document by transmitting and receiving the structured document among a plurality of devices. <P>SOLUTION: In this structured document displaying system 1, a structured document server 10 acquires a class of an XML parser built in a structured document displaying device 20, and converts the contents of an XHTML document as a display object into the specific contents in accordance with the class. The converted XHTML document is transmitted to the structured document displaying device 20 to be processed by the XML parser, whereby the document is displayed with the predetermined format. By providing the XML parser built in the structured document display device 20, with a function capable of displaying only an element corresponding to the capability of a self device, a size of the XML parser can be reduced, the XHTML document including the element which is not the display object, can be displayed with the proper format. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
