FORGING PROHIBITION REPRODUCING APPARATUS AND METHOD

A calculator calculates the forging prohibition information managed in the management area of the record medium whenever a file recorded in the recording medium is reproduced. A value calculated by the calculator corresponding to a former reproduction command is compared with a calculated value corresponding to a current reproduction command. The file corresponding to the current reproduction command is reproduced when the compared values are equal. An independent claim is included for a reproducing method for reproducing data from a record medium.
