<p>A lead storage battery comprising a positive electrode and a negative electrode including a collector consisting of an expand type grating is characterized in that an active substance layer at the edge section of at least one of the positive electrode and the negative electrode contains an organic binder. Thus, an internal short circuit generated by the fall or abnormal growth of the active substance due to the repetition of charging and discharging is suppressed, so that a substantial elongation in life of the lead strage battery is possible.</p> |
