The remote control unit has a push button (3) which on depression uses feet (22) in contact with helicoidal surfaces on a cam to charge a circular spring (6). At the end of the travel declutching takes place and the stored energy is transmitted to a three phase generator (7,8,9,10) via teeth on the rim of the cam and connecting pinions (13,14). An electronic card (12) rectifies the current and charges a capacitor which supports the signal.
