PURPOSE: An electrode plate, a lithium battery employing the electrode plate and a method for preparing the electrode plate are provided, to improve the heat stability of an electrode plate, thereby enhancing the stability of a lithium battery. CONSTITUTION: The electrode plate comprises an active material layer comprising an active material and a binder, wherein the mesophase SiO2 prepared by condensation polymerization of the hydrolyzate of a silicon alkoxide compound is uniformly distributed into the active material layer. Preferably the mesophase SiO2 has a particle size of 50 nm to 10 micrometers and the content is 5-75 wt% based on 100 parts by weight of the binder. Preferably the silicon alkoxide compound is tetraethylorthosilicate, trihexyl silane or 2-methyl-1-(trimethylsilyloxy)-1-propane. |
