<p>A fire protection glazing unit comprises two panes opposed against spacer units with a U shaped cross section, giving an enclosed space which is filled with a fire protection medium. The U-profiles (3) have sides (9, 10) removed over a length corresponding to the total height of the U-profile. The spaces produced are occupied by the end sections of adjoining U-profiles forming the corner joints.
