PURPOSE: A cooling apparatus for a spot welding gun is provided to easily handle a robot system and to improve cooling efficiency by removing or shortening a length of a cooling water cable and a water pipe. CONSTITUTION: A cooling apparatus is installed in a case(5) provided at one side of a spot welding gun(3) in order to cool the spot welding gun(3). A cooling water tank(7) is provided at one side of the case(5) in order to store cooling water. The cooling apparatus includes a pumping device, which sucks cooling water from the cooling water tank(7) so as to discharge cooling water through a cooling water line(11) of the spot welding gun(3). A master cylinder(15) of the pumping device is connected to the cooling water tank(7) through a suction pipe(13) so as to suck cooling water from the cooling water tank(7) and to discharge cooling water through the cooling water line(11). An air cylinder(19) is provided to operate the master cylinder(15).
