PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording tape cartridge which can open and close an opening constituted to minimize the drawing route of a recording tape in which a shielding member capable of miniaturizing a housing space in a drive unit does not interfere a reel and a leader member. SOLUTION: In the recording tape cartridge 10, the opening 20 is formed by notching a corner at a loading side to the drive unit, and slanting in the direction of an arrow A. A leader pin 22 and a magnetic tape 14 are drawn in the shortest route from the opening 20 facing both the direction of the arrow A and the direction of an arrow B. A door 50 having a shape curved in a circular arc in a plane view is guided (wobbling regulation) by the screw boss 36 of the case 12, projected parts 42, 44 and 46 and a guide surface 48A. The door 50 is turned so as to round around the pin base 24 and the outside of the reel 14 without going out from a moving locus along the curvature shape, thereby the opening 20 is opened and closed.
