PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast channel setting apparatus that can easily set a broadcast channel for each area without inputting area codes. SOLUTION: The broadcast channel setting apparatus is provided with: a preset processing section that sequentially presets a channel of a broadcast station received as a strong electric field broadcast to a prescribed channel position; a particularizing processing section that searches for a pattern able to be coincident among strong electric field broadcast channel preset patterns and weak electric field broadcast channel preset patterns resulting from storing in advance channel patterns of broadcast stations received as strong electric field broadcast programs and channel patterns of broadcast stations received as weak electric field broadcast programs so as to particularize a broadcast area; and a re-preset processing section that uses the strong electric field broadcast channel preset pattern in an area corresponding to the patterns able to be coincident to again preset the broadcast channel received as the strong electric field broadcast and the prescribed channel position when the searched coincident pattern is particularized to a sole area.
