PURPOSE: Provided are an apparatus and a method for distributing liquid for use in a distillation tower. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of preparing a guide plate with the teeth of saw at a lower portion thereof, preparing an auxiliary plate bent inwardly at an end portion, attaching the auxiliary plate to the guide plate, and installing the guide plate to a side of a main body of a liquid distributor. The apparatus comprises a main body(1) of liquid distributor, a guide plate(2) installed on a side of the main body(1) and having teeth of saw at an end thereof, and an auxiliary plate(3) bent inwardly and attached to the guide plate(2), so as for a space to be formed between the guide plate(2) and the auxiliary plate(3) due to the bent portion.
