PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric washing machine which can remove the dirt of wash without using detergents. SOLUTION: The electric washing machine 4 comprises a washing tub housing the wash, water flow generating means (pulsator) 7 for washing the wash by generating water flow within the washing tub and electrodes 33 for electrolyzing city water. The machine is provided with an electrolyzer 31 for forming cleaning liquid by energizing the respective electrodes 33 and electrolyzing the city water. The machine is provided with a cation remover 50 for removing the cation in the tap water. The city water removed of the cation by the cation remover 50 is fed to the electrolyzer 31 and the cleaning liquid formed by the electrolyzer 31 is fed into the washing tub.
