PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device for a vehicle, when a vehicle travels along a new road which is not included in an existing map database, which updates road data without traveling along it many times repeatedly, if positional information is reliable only by traveling along it just one time. SOLUTION: In the display device for a vehicle, when the vehicle travels along a new road which is not included in the map database, the reliability of an own vehicle's positional information is judged. If the positional accuracy is reliable, the road is recognized and registered as road data, and will be an object of being displayed and route search from then on. |
