PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a granular detergent composition prevented from attaching on a pulverizer or the like. SOLUTION: The method for producing a granular detergent composition comprises producing the granular detergent composition by pulverizing a solid detergent containing a surfactant and a builder. When the values of hardness and strain (displacement) are in the region of Fig. 1 (a), the pulverization treatment is carried out by supplying air of >=26 deg.C and at a peripheral speed of a pulverizer's rotor of <=50 m/s; when they are in the region of Fig. 1 (b), by supplying air of <=25 deg.C; and when they are in the region of Fig. 1 (c), at a peripheral speed of a pulverizer's rotor of <=50 m/s.
