PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output a document and the like excelling in visibility by enclosing record data with ruled lines of different forms corresponding to tabulation levels of output records. SOLUTION: Step C1 prints word data and a ruled line in a header region predesignated by an output format designation memory as in Fig. (a). Processing in Step C2 reads out a leading output record from a creation record memory. Step C3 read out designation data on a record unit corresponding to the record unit of the output record from the output format designation memory, creates one record of word data in the output record designated by each word number of the designation data, plus a ruled line corresponding to each word number, and outputs it to an output device. If Step C4 detects that there is no output record left, Step C5 prints a bottom line in a wide line conforming to a line style of a record unit 1 over a length corresponding to a horizontal ruled line of the record unit 1. |
