When eating spaghetti, the long and sometimes extra-long noodles have to be wound around the spikes of a fork in order to be inserted into the mouth. A spoon is normally used as an abutment. The new design of a spaghetti plate (1) is fitted with a concave recess (3) close to the border (2) for the positioning of the lower end of the fork while the spaghetti are wound around the spikes. The recess (3) can be integrated in the plate (1) or attached to the outside of the rim (2) in the shape of a small bowl.
