PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope configuration detecting probe preventing a decrease in durability and adverse effects on other built-in article, while reducing an endoscope's diameter and cost. SOLUTION: The endoscope configuration detecting probe 20 is provided at the insertion part 11 of the endoscope 2, the probe having a plurality of coil devices 30 for use in detecting the configuration of the insertion part 11 being inserted or in detecting its position. Each of the coil devices 30 comprises a coil part 33 formed by winding a coil 33a around a core member 31, electric circuit boards 32B and 32F disposed at each end of the coil part 33, and signal lines 34B and 34F for connection to the respective electric circuit boards 32B and 32F.
