PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving wheel for a crawler belt driving mechanism capable of preventing the generation of abnormal wearing of a crawler belt at traveling even if a difference is generated between a radius to a locking pin outer periphery of a sprocket driving the crawler belt, namely a radius of a press-contact surface press- contacting on inner peripheral surface both sides of the crawler belt and a radius of curvature to a core element center of the crawler belt, and showing certain tractive force on a humid and soft ground. SOLUTION: This driving wheel DW is composed of a sprocket 16 locked to a locking hook 10 of a crawler belt 6 and driving the crawler belt 6; and a pair of wheels 9 adjoining to both sides of the sprocket 6, coaxially supported to the sprocket 6 through a bearing so as to feely rotate, and having press-contacting surfaces 9a, 9b press-contacting on inner peripheral both sides of the crawler belt 6. When there is a difference between a driving radius of the crawler belt 6 and a radius to the press-contacting surfaces 9a, 9b of the wheel 9, a rotating difference is absorbed by relative and free rotations of the wheel 9. When a contacting ground is a soft and weak ground, the crawler belt 6 is press-contacted and supported by the pair of the press-contacting surfaces 9a, 9b of the wheel 9, thereby preventing deformation.
