PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide apparatus allowing for full protection and safety in transferring or moving a subject to be transferred or a care receiver, while reducing the labor required of an operator. SOLUTION: The conveyor apparatus comprises a drive having a main drive roller capable of rotating clockwise and counterclockwise, an auxiliary drive roller operating in conjunction with the drive roller, and a plurality of driven rollers A disposed in horizontal positions with predetermined intervals between them; an upper frame body where a drive transmitting mechanism driven by the auxiliary drive roller is mounted to one or both sides of a frame having driven rollers B disposed at the right and left sides of the top of the drive; and a belt stretched between all the rollers. A plurality of drives are coupled together in the direction of a main driveshaft to achieve the desired length of the conveyor apparatus. The conveyor apparatus is so formed that the upper frame body is moved right or left by the auxiliary drive roller operating in conjunction with the main drive roller as well as by the belt stretched.
