PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease possibility of malfunctions from occurring, on the basis of the output of a distance measuring apparatus, when a signal which does not correspond to the operation modes of the distance measuring apparatus is inputted. SOLUTION: A distance measuring IC 1c is set beforehand so as to output '0' to a signal line Id, regardless of the distance measurement result, when an operation mode designating signal, which does not correspond to any of the operation modes which the distance measuring equipment 1 has is inputted. Accordingly, the output of the distance measuring apparatus produced, when it is in an abnormal state can be fixed to one kind, since the output of the distance measuring apparatus can be fixed, when the operation mode designating signal which does not correspond to any operation mode is inputted to the measuring IC 1c. Accordingly, abnormal-time operation of a control unit can be fixed to one kind, and malfunctions can be prevented. |
