PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal type flow measuring device which accurately detects a flow rate without being affected by the heat caused by self-heating of an electronic circuit or the heat existing in a main passage. SOLUTION: A support member 7 on which a flow rate detecting element 9 including a heating resistor and electronic circuit parts 8 obtaining the amount of air based on a flow rate signal detected by the flow rate detecting element 9 are mounted, is cooled in both directions of a main stream direction of the main passage 2 and an anti-main stream direction (i.e., direction reverse to the main stream direction).
