PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector that can be miniaturized, while ensuring locking force of a lance for terminal metal. SOLUTION: In front of cavities 23, the lances 27 are flexibly deformable in a slanting direction with respect to arrangement direction (the vertical direction or the horizontal direction) of the cavities 23. As compared with a flexible deformation volume of the lances 27 in the flexure direction, the dimensions of a flexure space necessary in the vertical direction and horizontal direction of a female connector housing 20 can be reduced. The arrangement pitches of the cavities 23 can thus be reduced, to miniaturize the connector, while ensuring locking force with respect to the terminal metal.
